THe OVERTHINKING pattern
If you have an overthinking pattern, when something doesn’t feel right in your relationship, your mind can go into overdrive trying to figure it out. You may replay conversations, analyse small details, or search for hidden meanings in what someone said or didn’t say.
You might find yourself constantly questioning: Do they still like me? Did I say something wrong? What if something’s off?—as a way to try to feel more certain and in control. In the moment, overthinking can feel like it’s helping you stay connected or prevent something from going wrong.
But over time, this pattern can leave you feeling anxious, mentally exhausted, and disconnected from your body—because no amount of thinking actually creates the safety or reassurance you’re searching for.
