tHE PEOPLE-PLEASING PATTERN
If you have a people-pleasing pattern, when something doesn’t feel right in your relationship, you might override your own needs to keep others happy. You may say yes when you really want to say no, avoid setting boundaries, or prioritise how others feel over what’s true for you.
You might find yourself over-giving, over-accommodating, or constantly trying to be “easygoing”—all to avoid disappointment, rejection, or conflict. In the moment, it can feel safer to go along with things than to risk someone being upset with you.
But over time, this pattern can leave you feeling drained, resentful, anxious, or disconnected from yourself—because your needs, limits, and desires are being consistently overlooked… even by you.
